Ready for Take-off! Our colleague Verena form our IATA-Team traveled with Turkish Airlines in Business Class to Singapore. Experiences about the stopover in Istanbul, the entry and the great impressions in Singapore Verena describes in her report.

First stop: Istanbul - stay from 13:40 - 02:25 - no problem

Turkish Airlines offers its customers regardless of economy or business class the opportunity to bridge the long wait in Istanbul with a city tour. As a result, the stay of 13:40 to 02:25 clock was perfectly used. To do so, our customers only have to report to the counter in the main entrance at the airport and then taken by bus directly to the city, where an English-speaking tour guide is already waiting for the customers.

As part of this city tour the Sultan Ahmed Mosque, also known as the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia and the Bazaar in Istanbul are visited. Please make sure that you have something to cover the knees and women additionally shoulders and a headgear to visit the mosque! Before transfer back to the airport, Turkish Airlines invites its passengers to a small meal.

The last transfer to the airport will be at 09.00 p.m. It is worth mentioning that the transfer is very time-consuming due to the traffic situation - therefore please plan on a lot of time!

Businesslounge in Istanbul

The business lounge in Istanbul can best be described in two words: indescribably huge! On two levels there is room for about 1,200 passengers.

"Time flies by - you really do not want to leave."

Weekly changing "food stations", free choice of drinks (including alcoholic drinks), free Wi-Fi, video games, snooker tables, a golf simulator, a car racing track and a cinema provide plenty of pastime. Business travelers can relax with a massage and a shower.

Singapore

The entry into Singapore is easy and one of the big bonus points as a Business Class customer is the prioritization, without long waiting times.

Singapore leaves an almost untypical unasian impression. The environment is clean, well organized and most comparable to Kuala Lumpur.

MUST-SEE in Singapore: Gardens by the Bay! The huge park area offers insights into the world of rare plants and is divided into several vertically built gardens (with up to 16 floors!). Highlight and at the same time center of the plant is the greenhouse Cloud Forest Dome - a 35 m high mountain covered with fog and a waterfall inside!

Sculptures and so-called Supertrees are set in scene each evening (7.45 p.m. and 08.45 p.m.) by light and sound spectacles. Really corny and worth seeing!

Modern lifestyle in Marina Bay Sands

At the Observation Deck of the 5 * Hotel Marina Bay Sands you will be overworlded by a sensational view over the Gardens by the Bay and the surrounding area. In the evening you can wonderfully watch the open air light show "Wonder Full" in the Marina Bay.

If you go to this deck during the day, be sure to think about sunscreen, because it is really, really, really hot! BUT with "Dehydration" the Strawberry Daiquiri tastes really good 

Important note: The infinity pool of the Marina Bay Sands can only be used by hotel guests. The hotel is recommended by the way to a proud 96.9%!
